MY JOURNEY
I began my journey at Campbell University as a Public Relations major and soon after discovered and fell in love with Health Communication. I was then afforded the opportunity to become the second student to participate in a new 3+2 program, earning a B.S. in Health Communication and an M.S. in Public Health. My master’s program introduced me to the world of preventative health, the importance of community engagement, and engendered a passion for combatting health disparities.

I then continued my academic journey at The University of Alabama, pursuing a PhD in Health Communication with a cognate in Public Health.

Now, I get to call Richmond, Virginia my home as I teach in the Department of Health Studies at the University of Richmond.
